The Evolution of the Source Forge Home Page

I was revising my talk on “Inner Source” when it occurred to me that it might be fun to review the changes to the sf.net (Sourceforge) homepage. Please find my collection of screenshots below. I only started saving them in 2007 so pointers to more and older screenshots are welcome! (In particular if they come with a CC license so that I can use them in talks, attribution is a given. I trust that Geek.net does not object…) Thanks!

Hi Norbert, the license question was more of a joke than serious. Thanks for the pointers! Archive.org also gives me some decent older screenshots. Cheers, Dirk

It’s not exactly what your are looking for, just perhaps far-off related: screenshots from project and download pages *inside* sourceforge. My download archives contain files documenting the respective download places, perhaps 100 from sourceforge. E.g. from 2003 a plain html file http://downtown.trilo.de/svn/downloads-20030101/_20030820-2221_karrigell_/_20030820-2222_sourceforge-net-projects–karrigell_.htm , later come pdfs or html/pdf pairs e.g. http://downtown.trilo.de/svn/downloads-20040101/_20041111-1001_pdfcreator-0-8_/_20041111-1003_sourceforge-net–projectfilelist_.pdf , later come mht/pdf/png triples e.g. http://downtown.trilo.de/svn/downloads-20080101/_20080703-1521_nmock-2-0-0-rc2_/_20080703-1529_sourceforge-net—nmock2-download_.mht.png .

Do you think, it makes sense to put a license on a screenshot of another site than one’s own?
