I left the Perenthian islands and made my way through the airports to Kota Kinabalu (KK). Not exactly a remarkable day, except for the taxi that brought me from KK's airport to my hotel. I had thought that Boston cabs were about the most seedy taxis there are, but the one I sat in today broke all records. Basically, the car would have fallen apart, if it had not been for the bumper stickers that held it together. The taxi smelled like a lot of dinners had been taken in it and spilled as well. When I entered the taxi, I was one living organism, when I left it, I was about 137 living organisms. I guess that's why they invented hot showers and laundry service.
