This is my take at what I want technology to be for people and society.

User Experience

I would like to live in a world where technology, specifically computers and software, are non-intrusive and readily at hand, unless you explicitly want to deal with their workings, in case of which technology must easily open itself up to you.

Communication and Collaboration

I would like to live in a world where technology enables communication and collaboration among people. More than just being a tool, technology is a communication and collaboration medium. Technology must provide transparency of action (you understand what the results of your interaction are). Boundaries between men and machine in terms of responsibility are clearly delineated yet integrated with each other.

Empowerment, Exploration, and Innovation

I would like to live in a world where technology supports exploration and innovation of the individual and social space. Personal development is based on envisioning, exploring and experimenting, and stabilizing. Technology can be empowering and an enabler of personal development.
